Imagine walking up the front steps to your summer home on Cape Cod and entering to a beautifully crafted console. Designed specifically for this family, Paul Reidt of Kochman Reidt + Haigh was inspired to make that vision come to life.
L’Orient Sconces stirred Reidt’s vision for the console with its captivating design and craftsmanship. The combination of its striking design and craftsmanship was what enthused his work.
(The inspiration)
These sconces ultimately were not used in the entryway and were replaced with the “Sheridan” sconces. (shown below).
The skilled craftspeople at Kochman Reidt + Haigh brought Reidt’s design and selected materials to life. The final result of the console is perfection. Made with sapele Wood, an African wood in the mahogany family, provides the furnishing with a pomelle grain. Highlighting the sapele wood is polished nickel and finished with an absolute black granite counter.
