Elizabeth Swartz, ASID was recently interviewed by Boston Common Magazine's Jessica Laniewski for the feature "How to Bring Your Home to Your Cubicle.”

With over 30 percent of Americans working remotely, there has been a huge shift towards home office spaces. Elizabeth discussed how this has played a role in the transformation of corporate office design to feel more like home, support well-being, and inspire creative productivity. "An aesthetically pleasing office design can also be more efficient and provide a source of motivation for the task at hand,” she explained. “Lounge seating in open areas can foster collaboration,” for example, “as it encourages colleagues to linger and discuss projects.”

Elizabeth sees a rise in his-and-hers home offices, some in bright, fun colors that set them apart from the rest of the home. “Most of my clients want a dedicated office, or two! A home office can indulge the client’s personality.” One of Elizabeth’s clients displays golf trophies and family treasures in his home office, while others express themselves through wonderful furniture, fabrics, carpets, and accessories.
