Catalano Architects recently teamed up with Stephen Stimson Architects on this beautiful Osterville, MA residence featured in Gardenista's Spring 2014 article, "The Grandes Dames: 10 Stately Gardens from the Gardenista Gallery" written by Meredith Swinehart.
The beautiful result speaks to the benefit of teaming up with an experienced landscape architect to create a wonderful seamless blend between the home and the surrounding nature. To break up the large property, the architects installed paths and terraces to create structure and flow.
Trimmed hedges work toward the same effect of creating smaller, more intimate outdoor spaces amidst the large lot, as in the pool area below.
