Dowel Furniture, the progressive furniture maker, has announced its newest design partnership with interior designer Duncan Hughes. Dowel Furniture and Hughes debut their new collection at Las Vegas Market—billed as “the most comprehensive furniture, home décor and gift market on the West Coast, January 28-February 1. Dowel and Hughes made the cut for the “Design Home” curated presentation in Pavilion 2, a juried category of design-driven home décor, furniture and textiles “that celebrates the interior designer within.”

Together with the designer, Dowel co-owners Ray Hallare and Joanne Lee Hallare will show off Hughes’ highly stylized pieces, inspired by iconic American musicians, writers and celebrities of the early to mid-20th century. There’s a pink bench called “The Hayworth,” “The Vaughn” dining chair, “The Hudson” brass bar cart, you get the idea.
"My new collection for Dowel Furniture reflects a strong sense of unadorned refinement and master craftsmanship combined with the highest attention to detail." —Duncan Hughes, Interior Designer

We know they say what happens in Vegas stays in Vegas, but we’ll be thrilled to see the bar carts, bar stools, end tables and chairs of this inspired collaboration back here in Boston!
