Summer Party

In celebration of the Cape & Islands Design Guide

To mark the launch of the annual Cape & Islands Design Guide, the BDG team hosted a late August afternoon event at the Green Pond Yacht Club in East Falmouth. The day was blissfully beautiful, with high temperatures and a light breeze off of the ocean. Guests came from all over the Cape & Islands, and several traveled from Boston and beyond to attend the laid-back luncheon of lobster rolls, crab cakes, and shrimp.

Several clients sponsored the gathering including Bannon Builders, Best Tile, Costello Fine Home Builders, FBN Construction, Mac Davis Flooring, Martha’s Vineyard Construction Company, SBS One Source, SeaDar Construction, The Design Studio, and The River Shops. Historic Maps of New England graciously donated two of its custom framed maps for a silent auction in support of Tommy’s Place—the newly opened vacation home in Falmouth for children dealing with cancer and their families—created with the support of many in the region’s design/build community.

No one, it seemed, wanted the afternoon of networking and catching up to end, as several guests lingered on the patio as the staff wrapped up: it has been too long since we’ve been able to have events like these and there will definitely be more to come, soon.
