A kitchen renovation on Martha's Vineyard by Toby Leary Fine Woodworking was worth the challenge as the new space is stunning.
Problems the original kitchen faced was dim lighting due to the wood darkness and a narrow layout. The angled ceilings also created a design challenge. The homeowners looked to Toby Leary Fine Woodworking, who specializes in custom woodwork for kitchens and bathrooms, to create the best plan for the kitchen.
The redesign was oriented for the best views as it brings the sunshine indoors with a window over the sink and skylights. The finished interior is cheerful with yellow colored accents and white cabinetry.
Toby Leary made sense of the long and narrow layout by putting two custom islands in. One of the islands is for cooking and prep and the other island is for seating and storage.
Other highlights of the kitchen include: bar area with wine cooler and fridge, desk area that doubles as a counter space, integrated appliances, and a built-in window seat dining area.
