There's nothing chicer than a Parisian apartment. However, if you aren't lucky enough to reside in the city of lights for real, there's still ways to make your home or apartment feel like this luxurious French city.
In this living room by Wilson Kelsey Design, we see the makings of a classic and beautiful Parisian space. Take note of: the subtle floral wallpaper, the luxurious and oh-so-French lounge chair, the intricate mouldings along the ceiling and on the two hutches, the crystal chadnelier, and the many gilded accents throughout the room. These small bits of Paris style can be incorporated individually into almost any space.

Light and airy pastel colors also work well to evoke a Parisian feel. The lavender-toned couch and olive green armchair and ottoman bring rich color saturation into the otherwise off-white room. When paired with a crystal chandelier, crown mouldings, and more gilded accents, the room is undeniably French.

If color isn't really your style, a more neutral room like the grayscale one below by Carter & Company can also be accessorized to feel glamorous and Parisian. The varying shades of grey combine beautifully with elaborate mouldings around the fireplace and ceiling, and gilded accents like the frames, mirror, side table, and floor lamp up the luxury.

For a more subtle space, try incorporating just one or two classic Parisian elements with more modern ones. In the Oak Hill Architects dining room below, a crystal chandelier and beautiful crown mouldings are combined with more simple decor for the rest of the room. Ghost chairs around the dining room add a surpising and modern touch that works well to balance the extravagance of the lighting and woodwork.

If all you're really looking for is one statement-making accent to remind you of beautiful Paris, then we say go for a gorgeously carved fireplace. Intricate mouldings make it look antiqued, which is a charming way to add character to any space.
