Jennifer Driscoll, owner of Broadview Marketing, “It was really a phenomenal time!” Brendan Haley of bhaleydesigns.com, commented, “Jess and I had a fantastic time! Eating amazing food in an amazing setting!” Christine Moynihan, principal of Retail Visioning wrote, “What a fun night! Frank and I really enjoyed the entire experience!”

Restoration Resources is 7000 sq. ft treasure trove of historical antique elements that include architectural salvage, unique artifacts, vintage furnishings and one of a kind gifts carefully handpicked by owner Bill Raymer, from notable period buildings throughout New England that are undergoing renovation or demolition. Circa is the intimate back showroom of Restoration Resources, which doubles as a truly unique venue. The space is designed with beautiful salvaged pieces such as an antique bar, chandeliers, a vintage piano, statuary and decor....that are also all for sale! All you need is imagination and an antique grandfather clock becomes the perfect prop for a birthday party, an old working original tube television showcases photos or old videos, an antique wedding dress is draped over a beautiful armoire for a Rehearsal dinner. Restoration Resources just recently partnered up with Culinary Breakdown, (www.culinarybreakdown.com) to offer customers seeking a unique dinner party outside of their home, both, the a one of a kind culinary experience AND a one of a kind venue!

Douglass Williams, the Executive Chef and founder of Culinary Breakdown is internationally trained and has worked at a number of Michelin Star Restaurants both in New York and world-wide.

Culinary Breakdown attracts cooks, foodies or anyone seeking to learn culinary techniques while also enjoying an "epicurean indulgence" ; specializing in cooking demos/classes at private dinners that take place in a client’s home or at their venue of choice. The partnership with Restoration Resources and Circa provides guests the opportunity to Shop...Learn...and Dine.... all amidst New England history! The Refrigerator venue’s refrigerator that Douglass uses during the dinner party is a 1950 working refrigerator from an old house in Roxbury. The 1950s gas stove is from a house in Jamaica Plain, and the piano player entertains guests on a Chickering square grand piano, circa, 1850 made in a Boston factory. Even the table everyone is dining at, is circa 1940, and salvaged from Boston Public Library!

As producer, Chronicle Shayna Seymour says, you can dine at a table salvaged from the Boston Public Library and then take home the table after dinner! In addition to dinner parties, Circa has also been used for events ranging from seminars to cocktail parties, with organizations that have included Sherwin Williams, the Boston Preservation Alliance, and none other than the Boston Design Guide! Restoration Resources and Circa have also served as the host site for a series of design, architectural, and artistic speakers/events during Boston Design Week and Artweek Boston.
