Catalano Architects recently posted on their blog about a new project they're working on: a gorgeous renovation of a home on the Northeastern tip of Fishers Island. The home was originally built in 1931, and is now being completely re-done to serve as a vacation spot for the new homeowners.
Drawn to the amazing 360-degree ocean views, the new homeowners jumped at the chance to purchase this premier piece of waterfront property when it became available.
The home's interior will have many nautical decorative elements, including salvaged ship lights and portholes, a custom floor compass rosette complete with a map of the island, and lighthouse-style lights. The new homeowners had fun scouting antique shops for unique furniture and decor to make the home completely their own.
The main house is expected to be completed by the end of this year.
