A breathtaking retreat resides on Buzzards Bay, a peaceful vacation destination on Cape Cod. Hickox Williams Architects completed a project in which the 18th-century built home was moved to this location 200-years later.
The shingle-style home not only has beachfront views, the extensive landscape includes a two barns, exercise complex, tennis court, swimming pool and hot pool.
The swimming pool and hot pool are bluestone-edged and blend into the landscape, crafting an illusion that the pool and sea are continuous.
Inside, all designs point to the sea. A new stairway provides views from the central front hall into the living room, which extends the waterside.
Another new stairway winds upwards to the study built as a widow’s walk on the roof.
A large window in the game room gives a sight of the sea-wall at the bottom of the garden and Buzzards Bay beyond.
This home is a true testament to the architectural designs by Hickox Williams Architects whose known to design some of the most beautiful spaces in live in New England.
