This award winning Back Bay penthouse rooftop by Woodbourne Builders takes full advantage of the beautiful views of the Charles River.

The deck has an overhead awning that enables the homeowner to use the space during the hottest days of summer or during rain showers. A sensor in the awning was added to automatically retract in high winds.

The deck is also perfect for entertaining with a weatherproof home theater and audio system that includes 15 concealed speakers.

The cedar and composite deck includes cedar benches, hidden storage compartments, cedar privacy screens, and bench lighting.

Removable bench seats were for added storage.

Custom fabricated water-tight, wooden storage lockers are strong enough to function as stairs leading up to the decks’ upper level.

Woodbourne Builders created an additional 1,300 square feet of useable outdoor living space for this Back Bay homeowner.
