Construction will begin by the end of the year on a new luxury residential tower in Boston’s Back Bay.The tower will be located next to the Christian Science Plaza at Belvidere and Dalton Streets.
(The planned luxury residential tower is seen in this rendering to the left to the Prudential.)
The luxury tower will be a new iconic part of Boston’s skyline as it’ll be the tallest residential building in the city. The $700-million project will stand tall at 699-feet. It’ll be the third tallest building in Boston next to the Prudential and John Hancock Tower.

The first 20-floors of the building will be 211 hotel rooms and the upper 40-floors will consist of 180 luxury condominiums. The new tower will also have two restaurants, two lounges, health club, and spa.

The Four Seasons Hotels and Resorts will manage both the hotel and condominiums. The Four Seasons already has a hotel on Boylston Street in Boston, and plans to continue management at that location as well.
The project is expected to be complete in 2017. Project details: Carpenter & Co.; Cambridge Seven Associates, Henry N Cobb of Pei Cobb Freed & Partners (Henry Cobb is well known for designing the notable John Hancock Tower).
