CBT was awarded at the New England Chapter of International Interior Design Association’s annual awards on February 27th, 2014. The annual award ceremony recognizes architecture and design professionals for innovation and excellence in the interior design field. The IIDA New England Interior Awards recognized CBT’s following work across workplace, hospitality, and residential designs:
Best Private Residential
The 3,500-square-foot Clarendon Penthouse overlooks downtown Boston, the Charles River and the Boston Harbor. CBT was the Executive Architect on the building and was selected to design the building’s largest penthouse.
Best in Hospitality
CBT renovated guest rooms and corridors at Hotel George located in Washington, D.C. The rooms were thoughtfully designed with the historic and sophisticated design of Capitol Hill in mind. George Washington’s original uniforms inspired the large king size beds, with dark accents to contrast distinctive features on the accent pillows.
Best Multi-Unit Residential
Watermark East II is a new 150,000-square-foot residential tower in Cambridge, MA. The tower was designed to compliment the Watermark West residential tower. Together the two towers offer private and public amenities such as a fitness spa, concierge services, gym, restaurants, retail stores, and outdoor parks.
Best Office Under 30,000 SF
The Analysis Group’s new corporate interior office in Washington, D.C. was thoughtfully designed by CBT. The office has a warm color tones mixed with glass walls to allow light to naturally flow throughout.
CBT is nationally and internationally known for designing projects that range from urban district master planning to multi-family residential buildings. To learn more about these projects and their work, visit CBT online.
