Lively has been emerging in recent years as a style-savvy resource for all things fashion, but the actress will soon find herself an inspiration in the design industry too. When asked what influences her style and decor, she responded,
"Design, whether it's on your body or in your home is the same thing. It’s mixing different colors, different textures, and unexpected patterns—elements that you wouldn’t often put together in an interesting way. That’s also why I look for things that you don’t see everywhere, things that are elegant. And I’m always looking for pieces that make a statement."

Lively also revealed that when it comes to style and design, instinct is the only "rule" she follows.
For her kitchen, Lively wanted to do something special. As an avid chef, Lively has had a vision for her kitchen since she was a child, having spotted a La Cornue cooking range in the south of France when she was younger.

La Cornue is an elite French manufacturer of cooking ranges and stove tops, founded by Parisian perfumer and herbalist Albert Dupuy. Lively met with Dupuy himself to design her customized range, and chose the rich and wonderful Ocean Blue hue.

"The blue seems like a bold color that's still grounded, because it has a little bit of a grey undertone. It's a jewel tone with a little storminess," Lively says of the color she chose.
Lively and her husband Ryan Reynolds, along with their newborn baby, will soon move into their new residence in Bedford, New York.
