5 Hot Fall Fashions in the Home
2. Vintage Florals
Who says the houses of haute couture should sideline florals until their spring collections? Vintage blooms are defying an autumnal and winter slumber and coming up roses on everything from casual tops to mid-length skirts to metallic sheaths, gowns and frocks.
Rachel Reider, principal of Rachel Reider Interiors explores the vintage floral trend on a feature wall for a master bedroom in Cohasset. The designer chose a statement-making Osborne & Little wallcovering for its luxe feel and sophistication. This is not the floral of your great aunt’s slipcover; “it’s a more modern, streamlined take on a traditional motif,” offers Reider. The pattern’s scattered ivory blossoms and silver leaves have a quiet opulence, and aren’t overly feminine or overpowering as some florals can be.
