Citrus Cleaner
Given that cleaning products are somewhat scarce these days, Kim Vuona at the Kinefac Corporation shared this do-it-yourself option for making an all-natural cleaning agent at home.
Add lemons, lime or orange peels to white vinegar. Just toss them in and let them sit. “The longer they stay in the better,” says Vuona. “Just keep adding vinegar as needed.”
“The acid in lemons is antibacterial and antiseptic, and it acts as a natural bleach,” she continues. Plus, the citrusy scents are pleasing, and less harmful that other products. According to Vuona, the oils in the rinds can also help to clean and shine.
Hand Sanitizer
As we know, hand sanitizer is also hard to come by. Yet it turns out, it’s surprisingly easy to make your own germ-fighting recipe.
Simply mix rubbing alcohol with aloe at a ratio of 3 to 1 to make your own home blend. (Please note: The beer is optional, and unrelated, though it does serve as some additional novocaine.)
