Mac Davis Flooring operates with a meticulous approach, focusing not only on sales but also on installation, refinishing, and repair services. With a commitment to excellence, the company extends its reach nationwide, offering top-quality flooring materials available for sale and shipping to customers across the country.
Inspired by his father, Mac Davis founded Mac Davis Flooring on Nantucket in 2006 on the pretense of excellent craftsmanship, character, and communication.

“We build every showroom like it’s a home,” says Davis.
Since then, two more showrooms have opened: one in Osterville, and most recently, a Newport, RI location. Additionally, a warehouse is in the works and to be finished in Spring of 2024, making the company a true one-stop-shop, with distribution added to their already impressive repertoire––something that the owner feels strongly about.

“I found this disconnect between distributors and suppliers, and people who install and finish floors,” remarks Davis. “I wanted to be somebody that could supply you with the floor that I felt proud and comfortable to install and knew that it would be the right fit.”
Mac Davis Flooring has worked to bridge this gap. They work only with materials that they know have stood the test of time, like engineered European Oak and performance engineered European Oak (water-resistant)––a house favorite. Besides engineered hardwoods, their showrooms offer Performance engineered oak Luxury Vinyl (LVT), custom finishes and more, all in a plethora of color combinations and hues.

In addition to beautiful installation, Mac Davis ensures that his imports support sustainable forestry practices and family-owned businesses like his own. Whether the project at hand is a coastal getaway or a new business, quality is always at the top of the list. And as a father of daughters, Davis has always worked to involve more women in flooring––a usually male-dominated industry. Now, Davis has several women on his team who he describes as "meticulous" in all that they do from project management to measuring houses and more.
“We are a boutique distributor, and a boutique showroom. We customize, and we hand make all of our samples.” says Davis. “If you want what I would consider the best service and some of the best quality floors you can get, that's what we are.”
