Company Profile:

Wayland Home and Design

Wayland Home and Design is a family owned business, not a big box store. We are proud to be affiliated with Ace Hardware, which allows us to keep our prices competitive while providing our customers with personalized attention and superior service. Because we own and operate our own store, we are able to hand select unique products and brands that the big chains do not carry.

In our Home Design department, our interior designers are available for both in-store and at-home consultations, to help assure that your home is a reflection of your personal style. We can help you establish your color palette, choose the best fabric, wallpaper, and decor products, and select custom blinds or soft window treatments from our Hunter Douglas showcase gallery.

Wayland Home and Design is also a gallery for original artwork by local artisans. Our exhibit boasts a rotating selection of fine art and craftwork, so please visit us regularly. The pieces on display are available for purchase, and we would be glad to introduce you to the artists to view more of their work or commission an original piece for your home.

We know that it takes time to refine the style of your home, and we want your experience at Wayland Home and Design to be comfortable and enjoyable. We invite you to relax in our lounge area, or spread out at our sizable work tables. We even have a “paint bar” where you can have a seat while your paint is being mixed. We look forward to helping you design the home of your dreams.

Wisteria coral wallpaper by Farrow & Ball
Every year, the Pantone Color Institute rolls out a vibrant and nuanced shade that taps into the current collective mood and spirit of the populace. The hue is determined by the Institute’s experts, who comb the world over for trends and color influences. For 2019, they’ve given the honor to Pantone’s 16-1546 Living Coral, a vital, immersive hue that is rooted in nature and yet friendly and...
Busts in interior design
Athena. Poseidon. Aphrodite. We wouldn’t dare say that the antiquities are trending right now, but we can say with certainty that we've seen a reemergence of classical busts in home décor. After all, why should museums have all the fun? Traditional, transitional and eclectic interior designs can all benefit from a little Greco-Roman flair. When done well, busts as home accents are beautiful,...
Dog standing next to Yeti cooler
The average, everyday cooler was not up to the standards of YETI founders Ryan and Roy Seiders, which made the brothers' love for participating in outdoor adventures limited. YETI has showed us that the run-of-the-mill coolers many of us have been using are simply subpar.  With the long-lasting chill from its PermaFrost insulation and extra thick (3 inches!) walls, space, and durability, YETI ...
Professionals' top choices for grills
In honor of Father’s Day weekend, we’re firing up the barbie and getting ready for tasty outdoor eats. Since grilling officially becomes the cooking method of choice from this point forward, we asked Boston appliance professionals for their greatest grill picks. A side benefit? For any of you who have yet to purchase a gift for dear ol’ Dad, these grills and outdoor kitchen features make the...

Shopping for wallpaper
Nothing gives a room a lift quite like wallpaper. Wallpaper transforms a space almost immediately, casting a mood of elegance, warmth, vibrance or all of the above. It is also as forgiving as it is attractive, and can mask imperfections. Most of all, it brings a fresh look and great satisfaction. In-store design pros Sandy Krenz at Debsan The Decorating Store and Sarah Winroth and Sarah Melnick...
