This year's HGTV Dream Home, designed by Patrick Ahearn Architect, is so fantastic that we will be focusing on a different room in the stunning Martha's Vineyard home each week. To see the complete home, take a tour here.
Upon entering the home, visitors are greeted by the gorgeous living room. Filled with natural light and nautical accents, the space is perfect for relaxing or for entertaining guests.
The room has high ceilings and white walls, making the space feel pleasantly large and airy.
Coastal accessories, like the wicker box below, have been carefully placed throughout the room to create a vacation-home vibe.
The room's custom drapery adds an elegant touch to the otherwise casual and relaxed room.
Extra seating on the living room's outer edges provides ample space for visitors and guests.
Beautiful coral and sea-themed accessories give the space a rustic-nautical flair.
Though the living room has a rustic style, it of course comes complete with modern amenities like the custom built-in HD TV.
Beautiful furniture accents like the wooden chest and blue upholstered chair make the room feel lived-in, not stuffy.
Carefully curated art pieces give the living room elegance and color.
Expertly crafted crown moldings and ceiling details complete the home's first floor, giving it a wonderfully finished look.
The front door, done in a rich green shade, goes well with the rest of the home's blue and green accents.
Custom fabrics were chosen carefully for the upholstered chairs.
At night, backlighting from behind the moldings on the wall create gorgeous ambiant light.
Sconce lights on the wall provide soft, warm light perfect for summer evenings.
Finally, antique ceiling beams provide much-needed support, and also rustic elegance.
Below, a close-up of the unique antique beams.
